About the program
Join our vibrant, faith-based agency providing innovative social care services to 14,000+ children, young people, individuals and families in the Northern Metropolitan Sydney and on the Central Coast.
We are seeking a Project Officer to join our Supported Temporary Accommodations (STA) team located on the Central Coast. This position exists to assist the Project Manager to develop and implement a 7 day a week and after-hour crisis response service to all homeless qualifying for temporary accommodation in the Wyong and Gosford areas.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing STA Procedures and discussing with Coordinator any possible changes needed;
Engagement with clients to provide crisis accommodation
Develop relationships with preferred accommodation providers and external stakeholders;
Compliance with all government and reporting requirements for program adherence including data collection; as well as
Other duties specified in the attached Position Description.
To be considered for this role you will :
Have Tertiary qualifications in a related area such as Social Work, Social Science, Psychology and/or demonstrated industry experience;
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Homelessness and its complexities;
Have an ability to work effectively with individuals in a crisis management process which includes undertaking assessments and reviewing case plans;
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Hold a valid working with children check clearance;
Have a valid NSW Driver’s Licence;
As well as other criteria specified in the attached Position Description.
