About the role


The House Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the day to day functions and operations of a group home which provides individualised support to young people in our care. CatholicCare’s Permanency Support Program  implements Intensive Therapeutic Care services to support children and young people in our care who have experienced trauma and neglect.


A House Supervisor has;

  • An ability to build rapport and motivate a team of Youth Workers;
  • A focus on reflective practice, self-care and achievement of outcomes;
  • Excellent Problem Solving skills;
  • Experience with rostering and managing budgets; as well as a
  • A commitment to safeguarding children and a safe work environment

Skills & experience

  • Experience working with high-risk or vulnerable children and young people in an out of home care environment;
  • Flexibility to be rostered to work after-hours and weekends, and to undertake on-call duties when required.
  • Experience leading a team of employees; as well as
  • Relevant Diploma or Graduate Certificate. OR
  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Social Welfare
