About the role

 

We are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Child Care Educator for our Pymble OSHC . This position exists to assist the Coordinator in providing a quality program for children in Before and After School Care and in Vacation Care. This includes assisting to safely take children to school in the mornings and collect them in the afternoons.

 

This is a Permanent Part-time role working 17.5 hours per week.

 

  • Assist the Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate the program;
  • In the Coordinators absence take on the role of Responsible Person and be responsible for the services compliance with licensing and regulatory/legislative requirements;
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with families;
  • Ability to take on the role of Educational Leader for the service

 

Skills & experience

 

  • Completion of Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT001 or previous equivalent);
  • Previous experience with young children;
  • Ability to take responsibility, when required, in the absence of the Coordinator and meet the requirements for a Responsible Person;
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care National regulations and National Quality Framework;
  • Relevant Child Care qualifications (desirable);
  • A Working With Children Check and Criminal History CHeck is required.
