About the role The Family Day Care (FDC) Practice Leader works to maintain and monitor quality services provided to children by Educators in a FDC setting; the role includes recruiting and training prospective FDC Educators, making regular home visits and monitoring all compliance aspects under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Framework. This is a Full Time position working with Family Day Care Educators in the northern/ north western suburbs. Whilst the nature of the position requires ongoing travel to the Family Day Carers home, this position is based at Pennant Hills. Duties - Provide expert knowledge and support to Family Day Care Educators, in quality service provision as required under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law(2018).
- Develop and assist with the implementation of quality children’s programming, safety and wellbeing practices.
- Provide support for Educators in developing collaborative relationships with families and ongoing mentoring opportunities
- Support the FDC Team to look into expansion opportunities.

Requirements - Diploma in Children’s Services or above and relevant experience in FDC
- Skills and experience in team leadership
- Completion of the "Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk" certificate
- Knowledge of legislation under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law
- Understanding of the National Quality Framework
- Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Working With Children Check
