About the role


CatholicCare provides a comprehensive range of individual and group programs for those with disability. We are currently seeking an Activity Leader for our program called Boonah. Boonah is an art studio run specifically to meet the needs of artists living with disability.

We are currently seeking  a highly engaging Activity Leader to be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the program activity as well as provision of direct service to participants.

 This is a unique and incredibly rewarding opportunity!


This is a Permanent Part-time position available, working 35 hours per week.



  • Lead staff and support program participants through the creative process of artwork development of high standard.
  • Identify and implement the use of different art mediums and avenues to enhance the creative expression of clients.
  • Plan for and deliver program of activities in physical and/or virtual settings as required
  • Providing feedback on client's Person-Centred Plan
  • Providing a safe environment for participants
  • Preparation of reports including incident reports, letters of support and goal progress reports.


  • Experience or willingness to work with vulnerable people of all ages
  • Background in Creative Arts or Art Therapy qualifications
  • Certificate III or above in Disability or above with relevant experience
  • Have experience supporting or empowering others to achieve personal outcomes
  • Hold a valid NSW Driver’s licence and insured vehicle
  • First aid Certificate (or ability to obtain one before commencing)
  • Current Epilepsy Management Certificate (or proof of enrolment into course before commencing)
  • Completing a NDIS Worker Check is a requirement of this position
  • A working with Children’s check clearance
  • Completion of the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ is required. Click here to access it.
