About the role

 

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay provides Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports in Manly, Sydney. This program provides quality care and services to residents. As a Team Leader of this program, you will be responsible for developing program schedules according to our participant needs, day to day management and rostering of staff and exceptional client/stakeholder engagement. The role will include direct support with participants.

 

This is a Permanent Full-time position. The role will be require to participate in a rotating after hours on-call roster.

 

Duties

  • An ability to lead and inspire a team of Residential Support Workers.
  • A clear understanding of how to develop and achieve person-centred plan objectives for our residents.
  • Strong and clear communication skills to foster positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure client outcomes are exceeded; as well as
  • A variety of task which may include provision of personal care to our clients.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate area e.g., Social Work, Habitation, Social Science, Welfare, Psychology, Health, Education or related discipline and/or a minimum of two years’ experience in the field;
  • Sound knowledge of accommodation, group and/or shared living arrangements, and the needs of individuals with disabilities
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team and foster team work
  • First Aid Certification
  • NSW Driver’s Licence
  • An understanding of NDIS, as well as Disability Service Standards and relevant legistation
  • Completion of the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ is required. Click here to access it.
